Set time on Alcatel 4400 PABX

Post by WIFIman90 » 24 Feb 2013 15:13

Hi all, I have a weird issue with an old Alcatel 4400 running R2.1-b3.519-17-c-cl-c5s2. Some days ago we had a power outage that made our PABX time go crazy, now the displays of the handsets is about 15 minutes ahead of the real time. I tried the following for manually correct the time: swinst -> expert menu -> system management -> date & time update -> set date & time. All fine to that point but when i finish to set the date and time i get the following error: Enter the year (default is 2013) : 2013 Enter the month (default is 02) : 02 Enter the day (default is 24) : 24 Enter the hour (default is 17) : 17 Enter the minutes (default is 28) : 11 Error, Unable to set the date & time on the twin CPU The update has been aborted on both CPUs What may be the problem? any way to fix this? Any help is welcome! :D Top cavagnaro

Ermmm no dude...you need to connect to that pbx (more /etc/hosts or use netadmin -m to determine the IP Address) and see what happened to that CPU.... Ask for ALU support on site better Top WIFIman90

I have the ip address of the twin/standby cpu but these do not respond to telnet, i can only telnet the main cpu where i've been doing this testing. Unfortunately alcatel do not provide on site support to this old pbx over here. the correct time is the last on the list of your problems. I suggest to get support if you dont know the system. The release is very old and to get it back working in case of a hard disk failure or something else it could be really painfull. regards Alca_holic Top haroun Senior Member Posts: 1465 Joined: 29 Mar 2010 11:09
