The billing name on your account is set as the default name for each line on the account unless you customize your Share Name ID.

You have three options for selecting a Share Name ID:
1. Keep the default name.
2. Do not display a name and show your phone number instead.
3. Create a custom name:
  - May contain up to 15 characters with at least 1 letter.
  - Can include numbers.
  - Cannot start with a space.
  - Must contain a first and last name, separated by a space (e.g.: John Smith).
  - Numbers are acceptable, however, Share Name ID cannot contain the user's mobile number and the first character cannot be a space.
  - Cannot contain special characters, with the exception of an apostrophe ( ' ), hyphen ( - ), comma ( , ), ampersand (&) and 'at' sign ( @ ).
  - Cannot have just one name.
  - Cannot be an inappropriate or offensive word.

Note: No other special symbols are accepted for Share Name ID.

No, your Share Name ID will only appear if ALL of the following are true:

The phone you're calling is compatible with Call Filter. To see which phones are compatible visit the Supported Devices section on our Call Filter page.
The phone you're calling has Call Filter Plus service or another Caller ID service turned on.
The person you're calling hasn't saved your number as a contact.

Verizon can't guarantee your Share Name ID will appear on all outgoing calls.
