Should People Be Allowed To Keep Pit-Bulls? By Seven S. Mitchell Now what do you think when you hear the name “Pit-Bull”? The Pit-Bull is a mixed breed of dog, mixed with Terrier and Mastiff dog types. Also, known as "Pit" Yankee Terrier, Rebel Terrier and Staffordshire Fighting Dog. Some may say that Pit-Bulls are great pets to have and like many other animals that become very emotionally connected with their owners and families. However, others think that Pit-Bull are violent monsters that know only one thing which is to attack. I know the good side of Pit-Bulls through my own experience with this caring breed. I am here to explain to you how Pit-Bulls aren’t the demons that some may claim they are. Pit-Bulls don’t attack for no reason. Now most people demonize Pits for their history of attacks on people. Even though when this happens many reports of these terrifying acts just may lack some important information. For example, a woman was bitten by a pit but the thing is the Pit was unconscious. When the woman found the unconscious dog she tried reaching in the dogs mouth to check the pulse when the bite took place. So, think about it, was this information important to know to come to a fair conclusion? Yes, without the extra information like that, many people mistake the way this …show more content…
People should be allowed to keep Pit-Bulls because of their many traits.
