An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but what if that apple paves your way to the doctor! Apples have been an inseparable part of our lives as it is one of the most nutritious fruits, which is not only great for boosting immunity, but at the same time can prevent several diseases. The millions of healthy bacteria present in this fruit can simply add on to the numerous health benefits.
Right from being rich in fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, this fruit has a balance of all necessary nutrients required and this is the sole reason why it has been the most consumed fruit around the world.
Unfortunately, over the past few years there have been a few studies reflecting that our most trusted fruit isn’t that good and can be the reason of several diseases and this is what brings us to the big question- Whether eating an apple with its peel is good for health or not?

Since ages, this fruit has been consumed with its peel, but according to a few studies, there is a change in the way it was relished earlier. When it comes to the nutritional aspect of this fruit, eating it with peel is way more healthy than eating without the peel. However, as commercialization has taken a toll over humanity, to increase the demand and sales of apples, adding too much of chemicals in the form of pesticides, wax and chemical wash has actually spoiled the nutritional aspect of these fruit and contributed in making it even more hazardous for health. It is not always a result of chemicals rather it can also be due to allergens and insect infections that often affect the outer layer of this fruit. However, this is often easily visible as there are small spots and holes in the fruit.

How to eat apples?
Well, there can be several reasons that affect the outer layer of this fruit, which can actually ruin the nutritional aspect of apples. Well, the best way to clean apples before eating is by removing in the peel, but in case you are too fond of eating apples with the peel, especially in the case of wax coating. It is advised to clean it or dip it in lukewarm water, you can easily see the wax layer coming off and the shiny outer coating fading away.
In case of black spots or holes, it is always better to either wash it or eliminate the affected part or scrape the outer coating with a knife. Despite the fact that apples are a great source of nutrition and it is always better to eat it after peeling the outer layer.
