Are you done with DoorDash and wish to delete your account for good? It’s a simple process—you can do it in just a few minutes. In this guide, we’ll show you how to delete your DoorDash account, whether you’re a customer or a Dasher. Keep in mind that deleting your account won’t automatically deactivate your DashPass subscription, so you’ll want to cancel it before deleting your account (if you have it).
How to Delete Your DoorDash Account
- Mobile: In the app, go to the Me tab. Navigate to Manage Account → Manage Account and enter your login credentials; then, select Delete Account.
- Computer: Go to the DoorDash website and log in. Click the Menu icon and navigate to Account → Account → Manage Account → Delete Account.
- If you’re a Dasher: Remove your scheduled shifts in the Dasher app first. Then, follow the same steps via the website or app to delete your account.
Steps
Section 1 of 5:Deleting a DoorDash Account (Mobile App)
-
1 Open the DoorDash app and navigate to the Me tab. Look at the bottom of the screen in your DoorDash app, and you’ll see three tabs—with Me (meaning your account) on the bottom-right side of the screen.[1] -
2 Tap Settings. You will see this option at the top of your account page. Advertisement -
3 Select Manage Account to open a new window. Scroll down to the Account settings header and tap Manage Account (which should be the first option below the header). -
4 Tap Manage Account again. This time, a new window will open in the app.[2] -
5 Log in to your DoorDash account as prompted. Even though you’re already on the DoorDash app, it’ll ask you to log in using your phone number and regular credentials. Enter all of your login information when prompted and select Continue. -
6 Select Delete Account. Once you’re logged in, DoorDash will bring you to a page where you can request an archive of your data or request to delete your account. Tap the Delete Account option to proceed.[3] -
7 Verify the request and confirm your account deletion. Next, DoorDash will send a verification code to your email or device. Enter it into the text box provided and tap Submit; then, when prompted, confirm your account deletion by tapping the Delete Account option once more. After that, your DoorDash account will be permanently deleted![4] Advertisement
Deleting a DoorDash Account (Desktop)
-
1 Go to the DoorDash website and log in. On your computer, visit the DoorDash website and use your credentials (email and password) to log in to your account if you aren’t logged in already. - If you just want to cancel your DashPass subscription, see this section.
- If you’re a Dasher, see the section on deactivating Dasher accounts.
-
2 Click on the Menu icon and select Account. The Menu icon is located at the top-left side of the page—it looks like three horizontal lines stacked on top of each other. When you click on it, a menu will expand on the left side of the screen, from which you will select Account.[5] -
3 Select Manage Account. You’ll see the Manage Account option in red lettering at the top of the Profile page (next to the option to change your password). -
4 Select Delete Account. Finally, you should see this option in red lettering (below the option to request an archive of your personal data). DoorDash will still need you to verify the action.[6] -
5 Enter the DoorDash verification code and confirm your account deletion. DoorDash will send a verification code to your email or phone. Once you receive it, enter it into the text box provided and click Submit, then Continue. A final page will appear asking you to confirm your account deletion; select Delete Account to finalize the request.[7] - Deleting your DoorDash account is permanent. Once it’s done, you can’t undo it!

Deleting a Dasher Account
-
1 Remove all of your scheduled shifts in the Dasher app. Before requesting account deletion, DoorDash asks that you remove any shifts you had previously scheduled. Once you do that, you can proceed with the account deactivation. -
2 Go to the Manage Account page on the DoorDash app or website. Using the same instructions provided above, navigate to Account → Manage Account on the website or Me → Settings → Manage Account on the app. -
3 Select Delete Account and verify the action as needed. Again, this works the same as the instructions above—select Delete Account, and follow the on-screen instructions. You’ll be sent a verification code (to your email or phone) and asked to enter it into the text box provided; after that, select Submit → Continue, and finally Delete Account once more. -
4 Contact Dasher Support if you need help. Go to the Dasher Support page on your web browser. You can access the Dasher Support page at [8] . Once there, you can use the phone number provided under Call Us to speak with Dasher Support and ask them to deactivate your account—or access the Help Center for more information. Advertisement
Canceling Your DashPass Subscription
-
1 Open the DoorDash app or go to www.doordash.com/. You can cancel your DashPass subscription from the website or mobile app. - If you have a monthly subscription, you have to cancel 1 day before the renewal date to avoid being charged for another month.[9]
- Once you cancel a monthly subscription, you can continue using DashPass features until the final date in the current billing cycle.
- If you cancel a yearly subscription before using DashPass, you'll receive a full refund. If you've used DashPass at all, you will not be eligible for a refund.
-
2 Tap ☰ or the Me icon. On the website, you’ll see a menu icon with three lines stacked on top of each other. On the app, the account icon looks like a person’s head and shoulders with the label “Me” beneath. Either way, selecting the icon will cause a menu with new options to appear. -
3 Select Manage DashPass (mobile) or DashPass (web). You'll see information about your DashPass subscription, including when it's renewing and when you signed up. - If you're using the DoorDash mobile app on your Android, iPhone, or iPad, tap Settings first.
-
4 Tap or click End Subscription. -
5 Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your cancellation. After confirming the cancellation, you can continue using DashPass through the last day of the current billing cycle. You will not be billed for DashPass again.[10] Advertisement
What should I do if the two-factor authentication fails?
-
Contact DoorDash support if you can’t access your verification code or account. DoorDash has a two-factor authentication requirement when deleting an account (hence the code sent to your phone or email). However, if you can’t access the code—or don’t have your full DoorDash login credentials—you can just contact DoorDash support via the Customer Support page with a request to delete your account.
