If you know someone's phone number, you may be able to use it to find someone's Facebook account. As long as the phone number is associated with the account, it will come up when you search for the phone number. There are also a few other ways to find someone on Facebook. This wikiHow will show you how to search a phone number on Facebook using the website or phone app.
Searching Facebook Account by Phone Number
To search a phone number on Facebook, click or tap the search icon on your home feed. Enter the phone number (including the area code), and send your search. You'll see the user if their phone number is linked to an account and public.

1 Go to facebook.com in a web browser. You can use a desktop browser on a computer or a mobile browser on a phone or a tablet.
If you aren't already logged in, enter your login information to do so now.
2 Click the search bar to activate the text field. You'll see the search bar at the top of the page.[1]XResearch source

3 Enter the 10-digit phone number and press ↵ Enter to search. Make sure to include the area code. You can enter the phone number like "(555)555-5555" or "5555555555," as the formatting does not matter.[2]XResearch source
A single search result should appear. If you don't get a result, that person probably has their profile set to private and won't show up in search results. It's also possible they may not have a Facebook account connected to that phone number.
You can try searching with alternatives.
4 Click the search result. That is the Facebook account associated with the phone number you entered.

Using the Mobile App
1 Open Facebook on your phone or tablet. This app looks like a white "f" on a blue background. You can find this app on your home screen, in the app drawer, or by searching.
This method works for both iOS and Android phones and tablets.

Alternatives to Searching Phone Numbers
1 Search for a user's email address. If you don't know someone's phone number but you know their email address, you can enter this in the search field instead. As long as the user has their email address public, you should be able to find the Facebook account attached to it.
2 Search for a user's nickname or maiden name. Facebook allows users to use a nickname as long as it's a variation of their real name (such as Bob for Robert).[4]XResearch source Users can also use their maiden name for their Facebook account. If you know someone only by their nickname or maiden name, try searching for them using these names instead.
3 Look for groups the user may have joined. If you're unsure of a person's phone number, email address, or profile name, you can try looking for the user through groups they may have joined. You can find the Groups tab on the left side of your feed on the Facebook website, or in the menu on the mobile app. Enter keywords for your search, such as volleyball, reading, or another topic. Select a group and search its existing members.
Some groups require you to join them before you can view their member list.
4 Look at other users' friend lists. If you know you have friends in common with a user, you can check your friends' friend list. This can be found on their profile, typically below their profile picture. You may be able to recognize some users from another person's list.
This visibility depends on your friend's privacy settings. It will only be visible if it is set to "Public".
