Skip to main content Simulcast Share definition Back when people watched television with a digital cable box, you might've noticed that two or more channels broadcast the same exact thing. They might not all be in sync though, and the 'carbon copies' are often worse in quality. This is strictly known as simulcasting. When I was a kid, I used to find it mildly intriguing that channels 26, 232, 234, and 556 all broadcasted the exact same content.
