Jun 13, 2000 26,392 1,780 126 I bought some Advil because for the size of bottle, it was actually cheaper than the Walgreens brand. I popped 2 in my mouth and the coating has some kind of sweetener in it. I'd think they would be afraid kids would OD on the stuff if they got into the bottle.

True. I just want to say they're sweeter than I remember. I usually get the Walmart brand or whatever's the cheapest. I just found a bottle with 50% free that made the Advil cheaper than the generic. I doubt I'll ever buy it again...I like the non-sweetened version better.

For some reason he thought I was offering him tic-tacs and started chewing on them. According to him, once you get through the outer shell the flavor is horrible. It was entertaining to watch though.

This is actually the explanation for the sweet taste ... its to cover up the nasty flavor in case they stay in your mouth a bit too long.
