Skelton Conference Center

The Skelton Conference Center is part of The Inn at Virginia Tech. It offers a variety of meeting facilities, including a large ballroom that may be used in different configurations. Its distinctive clock tower makes it a campus landmark. Also part of the complex is the Holtzman Alumni Center.

 

 

William Epes and Margaret Groseclose Skelton

Skelton Conference Center honors the memory of William Epes "Bill" and Margaret Groseclose Skelton. Bill Skelton, a 1940 alumnus, worked for Virginia Tech from 1950 to 1979 as a state 4-H agent, director of 4-H programs, and director and dean of the Virginia Cooperative Extension. Margaret Skelton was a faculty member and director of the Cooperative Extension Family Resource Program in the College of Home Economics. Both Skeltons were charter members of the Ut Prosim Society and its President's Circle.

The facility opened July 10, 2005.
