The Byrde children found themselves in even more danger in the new episodes as Marty (Jason Bateman) and Wendy (Laura Linney) fear for their lives.

Worried Navarro's (Felix Solis) men will hunt them down and kill their family, they ask Charlotte (Sofia Hublitz) and Jonah to run away and hide.

Jonah had not fully mended the relationship with his parents after his mother killed his uncle Ben (Tom Pelphrey).

The actor has grown up a lot since the filming of the third season, and he is now 18 years old.

The young star was born in May 2004.

Ahead of the release of season four, the actor shared a collage of Jonah.

Three pictures indicated just how much he had grown up over the course of the three previous seasons.

He had only just turned 13 when he first signed up for the role.

Fans have loved his character development across the course of the series as he has taken a dark turn.

One fan pointed out how "everyone is becoming more dangerous" as the show progresses.

Back in May 2021, the star shared a behind the scenes video celebrating his 18th birthday.

They held a surprise party for him and included games such as a pinata.

With plenty of sparkle, streamers and cake, the surprise from the cast and crew went down a treat.

The actor said at the time: "Thanks Ozark family for making my Birthday so awesome! You’re the best!"

He will be celebrating his 19th birthday later this year.

He may only be 18 but the actor has had a fruitful career so far.

One of his earliest credits was from 2008 when he played Sam in the pilot of Lipstick Jungle.

He has also taken on roles in Netflix's Locke & Key, The Americans, and Daredevil.

Fans took to his Instagram account to comment on his success.

Edurhein said: "Getting older and at the same time more handsome."

The actor had been hinting at a family rift between the Byrdes ahead of the final season's release.

Speaking to Starry Constellation Magazine, he said: "Jonah is at a bit of a crossroads when it comes to his family; until then, he had gotten through by being extremely adaptable, loyal, curious and optimistic.

"The Byrdes’ way of life has constantly tested those traits, but he always pulled through and, in fact, thrived because he had some foundation (however unstable) in his family.”

Ozark season 4 is on Netflix now.
