What Are Snow Golems and What Do They Do in Minecraft

Snow Golems in Minecraft don't have any major purposes in-game. They're more of a joke mob that throws snowballs at other hostile mobs. And when they throw snowballs, it doesn't do any damage. All it does is knock an enemy back.

How to Make a Snow Golem

Listed below are all the items you need to make a Snow Golem.

  • Snow Blocks: 2
  • Carved Pumpkin/Jack o'lanter: 1

Once you have the items listed above, you'll need to place the two snow blocks on top and then the Pumpkin on top. After you do that, the Snow Golem will spawn.

  • Snow Golems will melt in hot biomes
  • Snow Golems avoid cliffs
  • Snow Golems don't have fall damage
  • Players can put leads on them
  • Snow Golems melt in the rain or water
