You might be wondering how to open a sentry safe without a key. Using two paper clips, make a tension tool and a picking tool. Place the first paper clip in the lower portion of the lock, then the second in the upper portion. Wiggling the other one while turning the first one clockwise. Turn the paperclips clockwise after pressing the pins three times.

Make sure you are working the dial properly for this type of safe. With the door lever fully counter clockwise, turn the dial clockwise a couple turns to start. It should turn quietly. Then turn the dial counterclockwise (LEFT) to the first number in the combination. Now turn the dial clockwise (RIGHT) a full turn passing the first number again, and additionally clockwise to the second number. Then turn the dial counter clockwise from the second number directly to the third number. Try to open with a sharp movement of the door lever clockwise. If this does not work the first time try adding or subtracting ONE to each number in the combination in case the mechanism is worn. If it still does not work it is time for a drill and a power saw to cut the thing open!

SOURCE: can't open sentry v260 safe

Make sure you are inserting key so the round hump on key matches red dot on lock, and turn key clockwise. If that doesn't fix it, SentrySafe's support number is 1-800-828-1438. I would think they can confirm the combination from your serial number. They probably won't give you the combination without a notarized letter, but if you have the right combination for that serial number safe, they may confirm that you are entering the right combination. Be aware the 4 number combination V260's are changeable and if you HAVE changed it, you are on your own, they can't help you. The 3 number combinations are not changeable.

SOURCE: sentry f3300 floor safe can not open

Being a master locksmith we see this problem all the time on the Sentry Safe F3300 What happens is this Sentry Safe has a waterproof seal that sticks the door shut to prevent watter damage. But in doing so makes it seem like it will not open. We suggest pushing down on the left rear corner to pop the front of the lid open
