Hi,Not every function on the TI83Plus calculator has a dedicated key, or is accessible through a key sequence. Among the keyless function is the factorial function. To access the factorial function

  1. Through the catalog of commands: press [2nd][0] (CATALOG) and scroll Up till you reach the exclamation mark !
  2. Press [MATH]. Use right arrow to highlight PRB menu. The factorial function is the 4th in the list.
SyntaxType the number and use one of the foregoing access methods to echo the exclamation mark on the home screen and press ENTER.Ex: 12! =479001600The largest number that you can use with the factorial is 69.Hope it helps.

How do I type in the pi button. I am so confused about it. I have tried pressing it by itself but it doesn't do anything but a little arrow. Please help!

That means that you know your calc crashed. This can be caused by taking out the batteries durring running time, happened just randomly. Well nothing to fear just press clear and it should go away but if it stays on that screen you have problems and is best to try some of these methods. Take out all the bateries and press and hold the on button for 30 seconds. Put the batteries back in and it should have reset. Warning you should archive everything incase this happens. To archive go to 2nd mem and hit enter to put a astrick next to the app (meaning archived)

SOURCE: on my TI 83 plus my sine cosine and tangent

Alot of people seem to be having this problem. Angles can be measured in two units, degrees and radians. Your calculator is currently doing everything in terms of radians. I have an 84 but I'm sure the 83 is similar, go under MODE and look for Degrees and Radians and make sure you choose degrees. if you have to convert, 360[degrees] = 2* pi [radians](easy to remember, 360deg in a circle, 2pi radians in a circle)Good luck

SOURCE: where is the fraction button on the ti 83 plus

Hello,There is no fraction button. Any division of two integers you do is represented as a decimal number. If you want your fraction to remain a fraction you enter it as follows7[ / ] 19 [ MATH][1:ToFrac] [=] displays 7/19If you want to convert a decimal number into a proper fraction press [MATH][1:ToFrac] . Exemple 7/19 [ENTER] gives .36842105. If without doing anything else, you press [MATH][1:ToFrac] you recover 7/19. There are limitations related to the number of decimal digits in the floating point number..3684 [MATH][1:ToFrac][=] gives 921/2500 but.36842 [MATH][1:ToFrac][=] gives .36842 : it is not converted to fraction.Hope it helps
