Sootopolis City is a hidden community in eastern Hoenn. It can only be accessed by diving through an underwater cave in the south side of Route 126.

A large body of water separates the west and east side of Sootopolis. The Pokemon Center is located to the east, the Poke Mart is located to the west, and the Pokemon Gym is located directly in the center.

The first time you visit Sootopolis, all the doors will be locked except for the Pokemon Center and Poke Mart. Head up stairs on the west side of Sootopolis until you find Steven and Wallace. A lengthy scene will play out where you will obtain either the Aqua Suit or Magma Suit. Enter the Cave of Origin to continue the story.

After Cave of Origin

After resolving the issues at the Cave of Origin, all the houses in Sootopolis will unlock.

Speak with the little girl on the west side of Sootopolis to obtain a couple of random Berries.

Poke Mart TM

Speak with the man at the back side of the Poke Mart and answer his question with “Maybe Lisia?” to obtain TM 83 Infestation.

Black Belt TM

Speak with the black belt inside the house at the northwest corner of Sootopolis. He will give you TM31 Brick Break.

Grab Max Elixirs

Two brothers will be arguing about Shroomish and Barboach in the house to the northeast of the Pokemon Center. Show them a Shroomish and/or Barboach with high affection to obtain a Max Elixir. To get high affection, you need to play with them in Pokemon-Amie.

Ultimate Dragon Move Tutor

The house to the far northeast is a Dragon Master's house. This man can teach Dragon-type Pokemon the ultimate Dragon move, Draco Meteor.
