Hay cuatro estaciones en el año. There are four seasons in the year.

la primavera : spring

La primavera es desde marzo hasta junio. Spring is from March until June.

el verano : summer

El verano es desde junio hasta septiembre. Summer is from June until September.

el otoño : autumn

El otoño es desde septiembre hasta diciembre. Autumn is from September until December.

el invierno : winter

El invierno es desde diciembre hasta marzo. Winter is from December until March.

Note that the articles (el/la) are normally used with the seasons.

En América del Norte, la primavera empieza en marzo. In North America, spring begins in March.

En América del Sur, la primavera empieza en septiembre. In South America, spring begins in September.
