CueWhat Reelgood users are saying

Incredible acting, especially from the lead actor. Part of a great trilogy with "Unbreakable" and "Glass." Highly praised for its performances and considered the best in the series by some. No explicit constructive criticism mentioned.

I figured this would be a less intriguing, more shock-focused film than the provocative Unbreakable—and it is—but what I wasn’t expecting was that the acting would be very good and James McAvoy would deliver genuine moments of terror. So, not as captivating as Unbreakable, but a worthy horror/thriller

Split is really carried by James McAvoy’s insane performance. He plays a guy with 23 personalities, and it’s wild to watch him switch between them. The movie itself is a basic thriller about three girls getting kidnapped, but McAvoy’s acting makes it stand out. It’s got some twists and turns (it is Shyamalan after all), but don’t expect too much beyond the great villain and some suspense.
