| I came here right after i finished the anime and should I start reading the manga immediately now or does it get more boring after the point where the anime ended? Mod Edit: Changed title due to (potential) spoilers. |

The best of Vinland Saga will probably be season two, the farm bow is great, all of Thorffin's character development is amazing, I highly recommend you read the manga. |

| Some of the best character development I've seen happens after the prologue, however the pacing slows down for a little bit so it really depends on what kind of story you like. Definitely worth reading (start from the beginning the prologue is only like 40 something chapters) |
Dec 29, 2019 11:42 AM#5H4nss0nOfflineMay 201739
| The part of the story the anime covers is just the prologue. The actual story starts after that. It's gonna be different then what you're used to if you've only seen the anime, but it's definetly good. |

| It depends on what you're looking to get out of the series. It does deviate quite drastically from a character-driven drama interspersed with some blood action sequences, to a character-driven drama with very little for a good number of chapters after the anime has finished and focuses more on Thorfinn and his development as a young, isolated, lonely man. |

| If you're looking for Thorfinn to go all ape shit and straight up blood fest on everyone then you will be disappointed. He outgrows his past and we watch as he continues to find the path of a true warrior. Really great so far from what I can tell but I know some people won't be fond of it. |

| It was hard reading it monthly because the story slowed down a lot but it should be good now because you can binge read it. In fact I should probably pick it up again after almost a decade of not touching it, I got a lot of content to read now. |

| The so called infamous Farm Arc that is next is very underatted. Its very different story wise and less action. But to me its still holds up to the prologue story line. Everyhting after that is good but not great in my opinion. |

| I just started reading the manga right after the anime ended yesterday, and the story after the anime ended may not be what you expected but it is now much more fulfilling and there is plenty of character developments not only for Thorfinn but for the side characters as well. Though like the other guys said, if you're looking for countless actions and Thorfinn being a badass slicing heads here and there, you'd probably find it very boring. |

| The farm arc is great wich is also Season 2, since the baltic war arc (wich comes a little after the farm arc) it has hella more flaws but its still pretty neat. You should check it out for sure. |

But pacing in farm arc is different, so how many episodes for it? |

It seems that the next entry is a movie and if we can trust the MAL information it should adapt the whole Farm arc.It says 2hr runtime wich could fit, the farm arc ends around chapter 100 but is slower paced. It would be sad but they probably cut some scenes to fit the whole thing into the movie. The title also suggests it since "true warrior" is the whole theme of the series and especially of this arc. |

Honestly I would be piss if I was a big vinland saga fan. |

There will be no movie. That was a misunderstanding due to mistranslation. The clip that supposedly "announced" the movie WAS the movie. |

Will the story of these 10 chapters fit with farmland arc or Baltic sea arc. |
| "I think I wanted to attack something. Like betraying people or hurting people. And, well, it's not exactly nice, but hurting the readers too... In all honestly, I feel that's what I really wanted to do. For me, as a reader, when I think, "this manga will remain in my heart," it means, for example, it phenomenally hurt me: It's those kinds of experiences I'm after." - Pajime Hisayama (My favourite hurting author). |

I totally agree. I binged the entire manga and I can say that the character development in the Farm arc aka Farmland Saga is amazing. Since that's the thing I enjoy the most it might possibly be my favorite arc. If you are looking for full fledged action, this arc might not suit your taste since it may be perceived as slow and boring for some people. |
