Macy's Flower Show (New York City)

Head to New York City's Herald Square for gorgeously bright floral arrangements at the annual Macy's Flower Show. The exhibition of exotic flowers and plants from around the world will transform Macy’s Herald Square in New York City into a breathtaking floral extravaganza. See it for yourself April 27-May11.

Cherry Blossoms at Brooklyn Botanic Garden (New York City)

New York City's rite of spring, the cherry blossom trees bloom in Brooklyn Botanic Garden typically from April to mid-May. Celebrate the Japanese tradition of cherishing the cherry blossom season. Stroll under a fragrant canopy of cherry trees in Brooklyn and enjoy a true sensory experience!

Rochester Lilac Festival (Finger Lakes)

One of the largest free festivals of its kind, Rochester's Highland Park hosts 10 consecutive days of its annual Lilac Festival in 2025. The lilacs will be on view to visitors May 9-18 from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm.

Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Garden (Greater Niagara)

Spring is an amazing time to visit Buffalo's beautiful gardens! Visit the Spring Flower Exhibit, from April 4 - 28, 2025 (included with admission: $18 for adults, $16 for seniors and students, $9.50 for kids aged 3-12). Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park (Finger Lakes)

Come explore one of the nation's most extensively preserved country estates from the Victorian era. The 50-acre site features beautiful formal and informal gardens, a historic mansion, the Lord & Burnham greenhouse complex, and beautiful views of Canandaigua Lake. Reopens for the season on May 2, 2025.

Albany Tulip Festival (Capital-Saratoga)

The annual showcase of Albany's Dutch heritage through colorful tulips will take place on May 10-11, 2025, with more events throughout the month. Enjoy musical performances, tulip garden tours, prizes, and more.

Waterdrinker Family Farm & Garden Tulip Festival (Long Island)

A little bit of Holland is coming to Long Island! Tiptoe through the tulips, play a round of mini golf, and visit the barnyard animals at this amazing festival featuring 2 MILLION tulips in miles of rainbow rows on a 15-acre family farm. You’ll also find tons of activities for kids, plus live music, and food trucks to enjoy. Also on site is the Long Island Farm Brewery, serving up delicious craft beverages. The festival will run for about 4-5 weeks depending on the weather starting in mid-April.

Mohonk Tulip Festival (Hudson Valley)

Celebrate tulips and the beauty of nature as the natural landscape springs to life at the Mohonk Tulip Festival. From April 28-May 9, 2025, enjoy daily garden and property tours, tai chi in the garden, artwork from local colleges, campfires with live music, demonstrations with Mohonk’s Beverage and Pastry Team, crafts, and specialty teas.
