RTENOTITLE

RTENOTITLE
Evolved from: - Evolves into: Wartortle (at level 16)
Locations: Squirtle is one of the three starting Pokemon choices in Red/Blue. You can also win one in Pokemon Stadium's Gym Leader Castle. In Pokemon Yellow, you can get a free Squirtle in Vermilion City. There are no wild Squirtles in the three games.
This Pokémon naturally learns the following techniques:
LV 01 - TackleLV 01 - Tail WhipLV 08 - Bubble LV 15 - Water GunLV 22 - BiteLV 28 - Withdraw LV 35 - Skull BashLV 42 - Hydro Pump
Tips: Squirtle is hands-down the best starting Pokemon in Blue/Red, mainly because of the abundance of Ground Pokemon in the games. Its Attack stats are on-par with Bulbasaur and with the exception of Speed, it beats out its Fire and Grass/Poison counterparts on all counts. It learns its last, and most powerful technique at level 42, so it's a good idea to wait with evolving it into Wartortle until the last possible moment.

Use Squirtle against Fire, Ground and Rock opponents for best effect, but it can even hold its own against Ice types as well (at least on the defensive side of things). Teaching it HM 03 - Surf is a no-brainer, but you might also want to consider adding non-Water moves like Blizzard and Dig to give it a wider range. In emergencies, Dig could help Squirtle get at least one hit in on an opposing Electric type. Squirtle doesn't last long in a battle against Thunder or Grass Pokemon. Thunder or any other similar Electric attacks usually knock it out in one go.

This Pokémon can learn the following HMs and TMs:
TM 01 - Mega PunchTM 05 - Mega KickTM 06 - ToxicTM 08 - Body SlamTM 09 - Take DownTM 10 - Double EdgeTM 11 - Bubble BeamTM 12 - Water Gun TM 13 - Ice BeamTM 14 - BlizzardTM 17 - SubmissionTM 18 - CounterTM 19 - Seismic TossTM 20 - RageTM 28 - DigTM 31 - Mimic TM 32 - Double TeamTM 33 - ReflectTM 34 - BideTM 40 - Skull BashTM 44 - RestTM 50 - SubstituteHM 03 - SurfHM 04 - Strength
OffenseAdvantage: Fire, Ground, RockDisadvantage: Water, Grass, Dragon DefenseAdvantage: Fire, Water, IceDisadvantage: Electric, Grass
Origin: What do you get when you combine the words "squirt" (as in "squirting water") with turtle? Well, Squirtle, of course.
