Tiny St John island is unlike many of the Caribbean islands that rely on tourism. For starters, there isn’t an all-inclusive St John resort on the island. There are lots of options for accommodations … but you won’t find the mega resort, drink-flag experience. Luckily there are some great resort options served up St John style!

The Westin St John Resort

The closest thing to that traditional large resort experience – is the Westin St John. LOVANGO Resort & BEACH CLUB

Located on Lovango Cay, just 10 minutes away by boat. The Resort spans some 40 acres and includes the waterfront Lovango Bar & Restaurant, Green Oyster tequila + raw bar, Lovango Village boutique shopping, infinity pool and poolside cabanas, as well as a private luxury villa, luxury treehouses and glamping cottages . Caneel Bay Resort

Closed for Hurricane Repairs until further notice! This venerable St John resort boasts 7 beautiful white sand beaches amid plantation-era ruins and gardens – all  surrounded by the Virgin Islands National Park! It enjoys a following of generations of visitors eager to return.

Grande Bay Resort

Located just steps from Cruz Bay’s beach, shopping, bars, restaurants and transportation. Gallows Point Resort

Located on a 5-acre peninsula surrounded by the aqua blue waters at the mouth of Cruz Bay harbor. Gallows Point Resort enjoys walk-to-town location, snorkeling at your “doorstep”, 1 and 2 bedroom suites, including kitchens, with either harbor view or ocean view rooms! Lavender Hill

A Best-Kept-Secret – often overlooked by visitors to the larger Grande Bay Resort. Lavender Hill offers the same walk-to-everything in Cruz Bay convenience! Located between Grande Bay and Gallows Point, Lavender Hill’s purple roof and color scheme are one of the first things ferry visitors will see approaching Cruz Bay! Concordia Eco Resort

This much-loved “eco resort” offered guests a glamping experience! Sadly, the Sept 2017 hurricanes, Irma and Maria, destroyed much of Concordia’s soft sided tents and infrastructure. The property was sold to a new owner – and it is slowly reopening offering guests this amazing connect-with-nature experience! Unfortunately our emails and calls to their listed tel# went unanswered. Cinnamon Bay Resort

REOPEN AS OF JANUARY 22, 2022 Cinnamon Bay Resort is a complex of “cottages” and eco tents. Guests enjoy a tent camping experience with shared shower/bathroom facilities, or small cottages  along with restaurant … all sitting just steps from St John’s longest beach, Cinnamon Bay Beach!

St John B&Bs / Small Inns

While not resorts in the traditional sense – B&Bs and small Inns fall somewhere between a resort experience and a private vacation rental. The Island has several great B&Bs and small inns for guests searching for these types of accommodations.
