Stacy Keach, born as Walter Stacy Keach Jr., is an American actor mainly known for playing dramatic roles throughout his career, such as a private detective or law enforcement officer. His most recognized role till date is that of detective Mike Hammer which he portrayed in several stand-alone television movies and at least three different TV series during the 1980s and the 1990s. Born to Walter Stacy Keach Sr., an actor and theatre director, and Mary Cain, an actress, Keach graduated from Los Angeles’ Van Nuys High School and later earned two BA degrees from University of California, Berkeley before attending London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Also an accomplished composer and pianist, Keach composed the music for the 2009 movie ‘Imbued.’ He is also known for his work on the stage where he started his professional career. His most prominent theatre performance was in the Off-Broadway production of ‘MacBird’ for which he garnered the first of his three Obie awards. The legendary artiste has been married four times to date. His fourth marriage is to Polish model cum actress Malgosia Tomassi in 1986.
