Starbucks has revamped their Rewards programs with new features like Free Mod Mondays. Also, try the Spring Menu featuring new drinks like the Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato.

Revamped Starbucks Rewards

Starbucks recently made some major changes to its Rewards program. You’ll still earn Stars with each purchase for freebies, and get a free beverage on your birthday. So, what’s new?

• There are now three tiers to Rewards – Green, Gold, and Reserve – with each tier providing more personalized perks and enhanced earning potential. To get Gold status, earn 500 stars in a year ($500 in purchases, or earn Stars through other means). To get Reserve status, earn 2500 stars in a year. That’s a lotta coffee!
• ALL members will get the new Free Mod Monday perk starting on March 16. Add one complimentary modifier to any handcrafted beverage, once per month.
• A new 60-Star redemption option providing $2 off any transaction. There was a big gap in options from 25 stars to 100 previously.
• More Star accumulation when digitally adding $30 or more to a Starbucks Card.
• Gold and Reserve tier members gain premium advantages, including extended birthday reward redemption periods, non-expiring Stars, accelerated earning rates, and invitations to exclusive events.

3. Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato (NEW!) – Layered drink with ube and toasted coconut flavors, espresso, milk, ube coconut cream cold foam, and coconut flakes

4. Toasted Coconut Cream Cold Brew (NEW!) – Cold brew topped with toasted coconut cream cold foam

Starbucks Rewards offers you a chance to earn points towards free food for if you visit frequently.  If you want to create an account, click here for the Starbucks Rewards page.  If you’re into Starbucks on the go (most of us are), click here and download the mobile app and you can create a Rewards account at the same time for maximum efficiency and free drinkness!

On signing up you’ll get 50% off drinks during your first week. Then you’ll earn 1 star per $1 spent. Use a gift card or a pre-loaded card on Starbucks app as payment and double that to 2 stars per $1 spent and you will still be able to redeem your points at different levels.  Rewards available are as follows:

1. 25 Stars – customer your drink with an extra espresso shot, syrup, or dairy substitute
2. 60 Stars – $2 off
3. 100 Stars – a free hot coffee, tea or bakery item

Starbucks App

You’ll need to have the Starbucks app and be logged into your rewards account to get Happy Hour deals. Rewards members automatically get a coupon loaded into their Starbucks app. Show the coupon bar code to your barista to get the deal.

To get regular invitations, join the free Starbucks Rewards Program and download the Starbucks app.  In our review, we rated the app an 8/10 and found that it justifies the precious memory space on the phones of caffeine lovers everywhere.

“Secret” Menu Goes Live In The Starbucks App

Starbucks’ “secret menu” has been a popular phenomenon for years, especially after it made waves on social media. Well, now it’s official with the debut of the “secret menu” in the Starbucks app. To celebrate, guests can submit their own favorite drink customizations for a chance at a $25,000 grand prize, and getting their drink featured on the menu.

You’ll find the secret menu, under the “offers” tab in the app, with rotating customizations. The starting lineup goes like this, but will change periodically:

• Cookies on Top: A Cold Brew with two pumps of vanilla syrup, Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam, and cookie crumble topping.
• Dragonfruit Glow-Up: Transform a Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Refresher by adding peach juice blend and Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam.
• Lemon, Tea & Pearls: Black tea and lemonade combine with raspberry-flavored popping pearls.
• Just Add White Mocha: An Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso with two pumps of White Chocolate Mocha Sauce and Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam.

Does Starbucks Still Have A Happy Hour?

Starbucks hasn’t had a Happy Hour in awhile. Usually, Happy Hour is available to app users on select days with a buy one, get one free offer or other deals.  The happy hour usually begins at 12 pm and runs until 6 pm. Typical offers are 50% off a handcrafted drink, or a buy onand is good on any handcrafted drink, which includes espresso beverages, Frappuccinos and iced coffees. Espresso beverages include Cappuccinos, Macchiatos, and Lattes. Whenever there is a Starbucks Happy Hour you can expect to find it announced here.

Starbucks Coupons

Starbucks isn’t really into the coupon thing.  They get plenty of business without them.  However, if we come across any Starbucks coupons, we’ll put them up for you here!  In the meantime, you can get a free coffee if you’re a new member for the Starbucks Rewards program (see below).  That’s about the closest thing to a Starbucks coupon there is right now.  You can also save by using the Rewards Program to earn Stars towards free coffee or food.  It’s worth your time, really.  Read below for more information on how to get started saving with the Rewards program.

Does Starbucks Give Free Refills?

Rewards members get free refills on brewed coffee and tea.  To get a free refill show your Starbucks rewards card or your app. In addition to free refills you’ll receive Happy Hour invitations, free drink or food rewards, custom offers on items you enjoy, early access to new products and easy ordering and payment.

Winter Menu Drinks:

• Caramel Protein Matcha: Unsweetened matcha blended with protein-enriched milk and caramel syrup. You’ll get about 30 grams of protein in a hot or iced grande.
• Caramel Protein Latte: Starbucks Espresso Roast, protein-enriched milk and caramel syrup. This one packs 27 – 29 grams of protein per hot or iced grande.
• Iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha: Unsweetened matcha with pistachio sauce, milk and ice, finished with velvety chocolate cream cold foam and salted brown-butter topping.

How Can I Get a Free Coffee from Starbucks?

Starbucks has a rewards program and customers can enroll to get free coffee. Every dollar spent is one star and at 50 stars you can get a free coffee. If you use a gift card or a preloaded card, you will get 2 stars for every dollar spent. You can also score other freebies once you advance star tiers (they count off by 25).
