His agency listed his height as 6ft 1 and his weight as 180 pounds, although on Twitter Stephen mentioned that "Producers are officially taunting me by hiring actors taller than me. I'm 6'2 dammit!! You could see their height difference isn't so drastic in Elseworlds crossover episodes, where Oliver Queen was Grant, and Barry Allen was Stephen. He is very, very height conscious. From multiple mentions of height in interviews/media and the constant 100% erect, head tilted up, shoulders back Henry Cavil posture? I mean it's a constant. I think some of the most height conscious men are those that are tallish to the very start of "tall" in the US. Men who are ~5'10"-6'05" seem to yearn for a little bit more. In yearning for more they lose perspective and many think the tallest the better. "Oh, I'd kill to be 6'9" like you"....but To give an example @Canson and @Christian I'm 190cm morning height and 188cm late evening/lowest, and 189cm mid-day. I know most men may want more but I honestly don't care to be taller. Now if I only had a choice between 5'11" and 6'4" I would go with 6'4". But this desire to be the biggest/tallest I don't really get or understand. I think being 190cm-188cm is a privilege in the fact that proportionally, strength, et cetera I don't have to think about or "deal with my height" often or at all. Privilege is the ability to avoid conflict, it doesn't make one better or worse. Hell, I don't even stand at full posture at all - even if around taller people. This need to show that you're a member of the "tall club" is a "almost/start of tall" thing mostly.... If I'm in a room with a guy that is 5'3" and a guy that is 6'6" I don't care. I may like to look and analyze the height but it doesn't change my own self-image. My friend is a legit 6'9" (try barbell squatting at 6'9" or bending down and up quickly...). He didn't like his height as a teen (teasing) but prefers it now. Even now while being 6.5" inches shorter than him I don't want his height permanently. I don't envy it, I think it's impressive/cool but it doesn't only define him. Many shorter guys cannot fathom what @Canson and @Christian are saying - because they haven't walked in that body/size - they may tend to overrate it. I also notice that many men under 6'1" also under-estimate or completely over-estimate men 6'2"+ height quite a bit....Then again I had another legit 6'6" co-worker assumed I was 6'4" ("you're a big guy too") until I let him know, "Nope I'm 6'2"" (rounded down to lowest). What @Canson & @Christian say in regards to people not even understanding how tall a legit 188cm barefoot evening height is because so many people lie about their own height's by 1'4" inches. LoL! On the flip when you're exceptionally tall (not all, some) and you are defined by mainly just your height this can be a blessing and a curse. Wilt Chamberlain for example felt uncomfortable when he wasn't the tallest man in the room. It made even him self-conscious as his whole life he was defined by his height....so to have someone trump it once in a long awhile...well..lol When my 6'6" and 6'9" friend tell my 6'2.5" self to take the rear when we are walking jokingly. I don't then secretly want to be taller I just laugh. Height and size do seem to have a primal respect aspect (for another wall of text post) and this is what many men are seeking I believe.... I think 90% do it, even some did it for the height challenge and wouldn't lower it because they wanted the tallest measurement possible...
