What is Stitch on TikTok?

Stitch allows you to combine a video on TikTok with one you're creating. If you allow others to Stitch with your videos, they can use a part of your video as a part of their own video. Keep in mind that you must have a public account to allow others to Stitch with your videos.Choose who can Stitch with your videos in your account privacy settings In your account privacy settings, you can choose who can Stitch with your videos:• Everyone: If you choose this permission and have Stitch turned on, then anyone can Stitch with your videos.• Friends (followers you follow back): If you choose this permission and you have Stitch turned on, then only people who you follow and who follow you back can Stitch with your videos. You can turn Stitch off for individual posts or remove Stitch posts already associated with your content. If you turn Stitch off, others can't Stitch with your videos. Learn more about how to manage privacy settings for Stitch.Things to know when you allow others to Stitch with your video:• That person's privacy settings will determine who can watch, comment on, download, or interact with the Stitched video.• The Stitched video will only appear on the profile of the person who recorded the Stitch. Your original video will only appear on your profile page.• You can choose to delete Stitch videos associated with your post. If you believe the post violates our Community Guidelines, you can also report it.If you're under 18 years old:Please review the privacy and safety settings for teens for more details on your Stitch settings.

How to Stitch another person's video

To Stitch a video on TikTok:1. In the TikTok app, tap the Share button on the side of the video you'd like to Stitch.2. Tap Stitch and choose the part of the video you'd like to Stitch, then tap Next. 3. Select a maximum length for your video. 4. Tap the Record buttonto create your Stitch, then tap the Continue ✓ button. 5. Add a filter, voice, text, stickers, effects, and more, or use advanced editing tools.6. Tap Your Story to post to your Stories or Next to make additional edits, including: ༚ Add description ༚ Add hashtags ༚ Tag people ༚ Add a location ༚ Add link ༚ Manage privacy settings7. Tap Post to publish your Stitch or Drafts to save it. Your drafts are visible only to you on your profile. Note: Not all videos have Stitch turned on.
