Strawberry Stain Removal Guide
Maybe your like
Strawberry stain removal techniques are important when you love strawberries, as many people do (like me and my whole family!).

When you get that big red stain on your clothes, upholstery or carpet one of the most important things to do is act quickly.
The sooner you treat any spot caused by strawberries, like any berry stain, the easier it will be to remove.

This is not to say you cannot remove older strawberry stains, but it will take more time and effort.
Below are instructions for how to remove these stains from clothing, upholstery and carpet.
Strawberry Stain Removal From Fabric
Step 1: Rinse any excess strawberry liquid or juice from the fabric, and flush the stained area with cool water, being careful not to spread the stain further.
Step 2: Make a solution of half a teaspoon of liquid laundry detergent, mixed with a tablespoon of white vinegar, and a quart of warm water. Let the stained fabric soak in this solution for about 15 minutes.
Step 3: Thoroughly rinse the fabric with clear cool water.
Step 4: If the spot is gone, move on to step 5 below. If not, sponge the stained area with rubbing alcohol and then, again, rinse thoroughly.
Hint: First spot test the use of the alcohol on the clothing in an inconspicuous area to make sure the alcohol will not harm the fabric.
Step 5: Launder in the hottest water the fabric will allow to get out the stain caused by the strawberries, and either chlorine bleach if the fabric will allow it, or color safe bleach if not.
Hint: Make sure the stain is gone after washing, but before you place in the dryer or you may set it. Repeat if necessary.

Removing Strawberry Stains From Upholstery

Step 1: Blot up as much of the strawberry as possible, being careful not to spread the stain.
Step 2: Mix a solution of 2/3 of a cup of rubbing alcohol and one tablespoon of white vinegar.
Step 3: Using this solution, sponge the spot with a clean white cloth.
Step 4: Next, blot until the liquid is absorbed.
Step 5: Repeat steps 3-4 until the strawberry stain is removed from the upholstery.
Step 6: Now that the spot is removed you should get plain cold water and a new white cloth and sponge the area to remove the cleaning solution, and then blot dry.
Hint: Be sure to get the upholstery only as wet as necessary to remove the stain.

How To Remove Stains From Strawberries From Carpet

The instructions for strawberry stain removal from carpet is the same as for upholstery.
However, if you don't have luck with this stain removal method above you have two options:
First, you can mix a solution of one tablespoon of ammonia with two cups warm water, and try that as a stain removal solution.
Hint: Please note though that ammonia and vinegar, because one is an alkali and the other an acid, will neutralize one another, so thoroughly rinse the alcohol/vinegar solution before trying the ammonia solution.
Second, try mixing a solution of one tablespoon of liquid dish detergent and two cups of warm water, and use this as a stain removal solution.
Hint: Please note that this solution may be milder on your carpet than the alcohol/vinegar solution, so you may want to try it first.
