Strike PackageBy sng-ignHector Madrigaleppur si muove+15.5k moreUpdated: Mar 16, 2012 4:17am UTC

Strike Packages are basically three packages that hold all of your Killstreaks / Pointstreaks. You now have the ability to choose a Strike Package on each Custom Class. Only three Killstreaks / Pointstreaks can be chosen and they must be unlocked first via a Strike Package Unlock while ranking up.

Kills aren't the only things that will earn you a Killstreak / Pointstreak. This time, points towards an objective will count towards your pointstreak.

Examples include:

  • Kill an enemy in any game mode
  • Capture a flag in Domination
  • Capture a flag in Capture the Flag
  • Plant a bomb in Search and Destroy, Demolition, or Sabotage
  • Defuse a bomb in Search and Destroy, Demolition, or Sabotage
  • Capture an HQ in Headquarters
  • Destroy an HQ in Headquarters
  • Destroy enemy Killstreaks / Pointstreaks

Make note, Any sort of point will count kills with your gun ,other killstreaks, etc

There are three Strike Packages to choose from. Each section has it's own set of rules and Rewards.

Assault

The Assault Package resets your pointstreak each time you die. You are only given Rewards that will hurt the other team. After earning your third reward, you will start your pointstreak towards the first again. It is wise to use your killstreak sooner than later because you cannont stack two of the same killstreaks. Same goes for Support. (i.e you have a UAV and get to the end of your killstreak. You cannot get 3 more kills and stack another UAV on the one you already have as the first one goes away.)

  • UAV (Default)
  • Care Package
  • I.M.S.
  • Predator Missile (Default)
  • Sentry Gun
  • Precision Airstrike
  • Attack Helicopter (Default)
  • Strafe Run
  • AH-6 Overwatch
  • Reaper
  • Assault Drone
  • AC-130
  • Pave Low
  • Juggernaut
  • Osprey Gunner

Support

Unlike the Assault Package, the Support Package DOES NOT reset each time you die. You are only given Rewards that will help your team. If you switch from your class with pointstreaks to any other class, you will lose your pointstreak. This Strike Package is for the player who always plays with the team in mind and one that wants to help the team rather than just rack up a high kill to death ratio. Although killing ability lacks, this package provides essential tools that will keep a team aware and provide teams that are taking a beating a chance to get back in and win!

  • UAV (Default)
  • Counter UAV
  • Ballistic Vests
  • Airdrop Trap
  • SAM Turret (Default)
  • Recon Drone
  • Advanced UAV (Default)
  • Remote Sentry
  • Stealth Bomber
  • EMP
  • Juggernaut Recon
  • Escort Airdrop

Specialist

The Specialist Strike Package is different from the other two in a big way. Specialist Rewards are not Killstreak rewards. Instead, you will earn three extra perks to the three perks you already have. You will earn the first perk at the second kill, the second perk at the fourth kill, and the third perk at the sixth kill. Once you die, your perks will reset to the original three. You must unlock the perk before you can use it in the Strike Package. If you have the Pro version, that will be the version you use. You can use any three perks from any of the Tiers as long as you don't already have it equipped and it's unlocked. The only exception is Overkill.

Once you get an eight killstreak, you will get the Specialist Bonus. The Specialist bonus gives you every Perk available and all the Proficiencies (except Breath, Damage, and Attachments) on the weapon you have. Every other kill will be worth x2 the XP, and every Killstreak destroyed will be worth x2 XP.

Each time you earn one of these rewards, you will be awarded with an XP Bonus. The first perk will award you with 150 XP, the second will award you with 250 XP, the third will award you with 350 XP, and the Specialist will award you with 450 XP.
