Character Analysis
(Avoiding Spoilers)
Grew up... with the Lin Kuei. Kuai Liang (his given name) was born to an American woman and a Chinese cryomancer with the ability to control ice, a skill he inherited. He and his older brother Bi-Han were soon kidnapped and trained by the Lin Kuei, the ninja collective his father served.
Living... on his own. Eventually Sub-Zero severed his ties with the Lin Kuei, having grown disgusted by their breaks from ancient traditions, like turning their members into mindless cyborgs. Branded a traitor, he is now an independent fighter.
Profession... assassin. Sub-Zero was trained in traditional ninja arts like stealth and murder. His natural powers over ice are also a helpful combat ability.
Interests… avenging his brother. Bi-Han was actually the original Sub-Zero, but he was murdered by the hellish rival Shirai Ryu ninja Hanzo Hasashi, or Scorpion. So the current Sub-Zero took on the name out of respect for his brother and now wants to avenge his death by defeating Scorpion. As he says, “I am his family and clan! I fight for his honor!”
Relationship Status... single. Sub-Zero is not in a romantic relationship, but considering his cold nature, he is a surprisingly good friend to fellow noble martial artists.
Challenge... protecting Earthrealm. The Mortal Kombat tournament allows the evil forces of Outworld to invade Earthrealm, should they win enough fights. So to stop that from happening, Sub-Zero teams up with the benevolent thunder god Raiden and his band of heroes to win the tournament for Earthrealm.
Personality... cold. Even without his frosty tricks, Sub-Zero has been hardened by his harsh, tragic life. But unlike his clan, or even his more vicious older brother, this Sub-Zero carries himself with integrity, morality, and self-discipline.

See Details Mortal Kombat X Mortal Kombat X is an upcoming fighting game currently in development by NetherRealm Studios. It is the tenth main title in the Mortal Kombat series. Like previous entries in the series, Mortal Kombat X is a fighting game in which two players fight against each other using a variety of attacks, special moves, and gruesome Fatalities. The energy meter, first introduced in the previous title, once again allows players to perform techniques such as brutal X-Ray moves, with some refinements made to the system. Similar to NetherRealm Studio's previous title, Injustice: Gods Among Us, fighters can now interact with the environment, bouncing off areas to reposition themselves or using parts of the environment as weapons. Each fighter now has three different variations, each featuring a different set of moves they can use during the match. For example, Scorpion can use the Ninjutsu variation, in which he wields dual swords, or the Hellfire variation, which relies more of fiery special moves. There also plans for fully connected online functionality.
