Hexone is the structure which is obtained by the six carbon atoms from the monosaccharides for example glucose, monosaccharides also termed as heptose. On the other hand, trioses are known from the three carbon atoms obtained by the monosaccharides like pyruvate structure. Pentose sugar found in the nucleic acids has five carbon atoms. And nucleoside is obtained by the combination process of base and a sugar present in it. The modified sugar obtained from DNA is known as deoxyribose which have lacking oxygen atom that absence of one oxygen helps to recognize the enzymes of DNA and RNA.
