Prodigy's annual Summerfest is a nearly annual event that takes place within the early summer of the Northern Hemisphere that celebrates aquatic outdoor activities. They come with never-before-seen and long-lost items. Like other seasonal events, players can battle monsters for the seasonal event's currency.

Sand Dollars[]

The primary currency for Summerfest is Sand Dollars. These are used to buy Water Balloons, new hairstyles, outfits, and more. Players can get 25 if they spin the Wheel of Sun, and they can get 10 Sand Dollars if they beat an Applepot during a daily battle. With any other battle the player wins, they will get 1 Sand Dollar per monster. These are also available from Membership Boxes such as the June Membership Box.

The daily task that resets every midnight involves finding a belligerent Applepot in Lamplight Town and battling it.

Water Balloons[]

Similar to fireworks and confetti, Water Balloons are one-time-use items that are purely cosmetic. When you activate one, you can pick a place where you want the water balloon to land, and an animation will play of the water balloon flying to that point and splashing. It is like a snowball (obtained during Winterfest). The maximum amount obtainable at once (without glitches) is 99. They cost two Sand Dollars each, and they are the Summerfest variant of the Snowball, the Winterfest variant.

Old items, such as the Draconyx set, Noot's Cap and old Arena sets that were thought to be gone are purchasable from Athena,

Event Stylist[]

Mist, one of the twin Merlings in the bottom center of the main Lamplight map, provides special hair colors and styles that are open to everyone during Summerfest. These colors and styles are available after the event, but only to members. Older items from the 2019 and 2018 Membership Boxes are also being sold for members only, such as the Mystic Member Hat. As of July 7, 2020, hairstyles, and colors are now non-member.

Event Nicknames[]

Mizu, the other twin Merling, provides nicknames exclusive to Summerfest, similar to the 'Nicknamers' found in each of the elemental areas. Nicknames include: Aquatic (username), Fishy (username), Glub-glub (username), Mer-(username), and (username) of the Seas. Some names are member-only.

Hair[]

The hairstyles the player can obtain from Mist are numbers 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, and 38, which are member-restricted hairstyles throughout the rest of the year. In addition, the hair colors Orange Sherbet, Go Fast, Fire, Cotton Candy, Seafoam, and Lemon are available. Just like the hairstyles, they are restricted at other times of the year.

Trivia[]

• This is the first festival with old items for sale.
• The Wheel of Wonder and the Twilight Wheel are replaced with the Wheel of Sun during Summerfest.
• This is the first festival to have nicknames.
• This is the first event to sell gear with a heart bonus of 40 (Draconyx Set).
• After the Summerfest of 2019, Athena could be seen on Shipwreck Shore, replacing the old Merchant there, (much like the ones in Firefly Forest, Shiverchill Mountains, Bonfire Spire, and Skywatch) but sells the same items as it.
• There are Summerfest items in the June 2020 Membership Box including 10 sand dollars, 15 water balloons, and the Pool Sword.
• There are also summer-themed shirts in the July Membership Box, possibly indicating Summerfest.
• During Summerfest, a regular merchant is at Shipwreck Shore. He sells the same things as Athena, but sometimes if you go to the shop, it will show Athena in the corner of the shop where it says, "Choose an item to learn more about it!"
• This is the only festival in which you can buy "old" Member Box items. Gizmotron can also be obtained rarely in battle chests.
• During Summerfest, the dragon's eye in Lamplight Town is semi-opened, its eye color turned green during this event.
• 2021 Summerfest ended on 22 July, even though Prodigy Education previously stated it would end on 9 July.
