This Summon Mob Generator creates the Minecraft Java Edition (PC/Mac) command you can use to summon custom mobs with weapons, armor, enchantments, and effects.

This Generator allows you to summon all of the mobs in Minecraft including the new Armadillo and Wolf variants from the Armored Paws drop.

If you need help completing a section, click on the tooltip button to display the instructions. When you have finished customizing your mob, click on the Generate Command button and then copy/paste the command into Minecraft.

Instructions: Select a mob to summon. You can also add a custom name for the mob to change its default name. Finally, you can enter an optional team that the mob will join. If you specify a team, you must run the /team command to first create the team before summoning the mob.

Please note that while the game allows you to create a team that contains special characters, we have limited the team field to only allow letters, numbers, dashes and underscores. This is because some special characters can cause problems with commands.

Instructions: Select the options to apply to the mob. The options are as follows:

  • Age - The age of the Zombie (Adult is the regular size. Baby is younger and smaller)
  • Invulnerable - Prevent the Zombie from being killed in Survival mode
  • Persistent - Prevent the Zombie from naturally despawning
  • Silent - Prevent the Zombie from making any noise
  • NoAI - Prevent the Zombie from normal AI movements
  • Can pick up loot - Allow the Zombie to pick up loot
  • Can break doors - Allow the Zombie to break down wooden doors
  • Left Handed - The Zombie is left-handed (rather than right-handed)

Instructions: Select a mob to ride. Commonly, you would choose a mob such as a horse, skeleton horse, chicken, spider or pig. But you can choose any one of the mobs listed in the dropdown. This allows you to stack one mob on top of another.

Instructions: Select a weapon from the dropdown. Then select the chances of the mob dropping the weapon when killed (100% means the weapon will always be dropped and you can add it to your inventory). You can also add a custom name for the weapon and any lore or information about the weapon.

Note: If the mob is not capable of carrying a weapon, you will not be able to select a weapon from the dropdown.

TIP: In the steps that contain Lores, you can get multi-line Lores by separating each line of the Lore with a | character. For example: if you enter The greatest sword|EVER in the Lore field, you will get a two line Lore. The first line will contain The greatest sword and the second line will contain EVER.

Instructions: Select enchantments you would like to add to the main hand weapon.

Note: Some enchantments cannot be combined with others. If you select an enchantment, incompatible enchantments will gray out and not be selectable.

Select a Position where the Mob will Spawn Select a position where the mob will spawn instructions

Positioning: Relative Absolute X: ~ Y: ~ Z: ~

Instructions: Select the positioning type and enter the position where you would like the mob to spawn.Relative positioning will spawn the mob at a position in relation to where the command is run.Absolute positioning will spawn the mob at a specific coordinate in the world.

The coordinate system works as follows:

  • X - A positive value increases position to the East. A negative value increases position to the West.
  • Y - A positive value increases position upward. A negative value increases position downward.
  • Z - A positive value increases position to the South. A negative value increases position to the North.

TIP: Use X=0, Y=1, Z=0 with Relative Positioning when you want to spawn the mob above a command block.

Instructions: Enter the motion coordinates where you would like the mob to move once it has spawned. (Motion determines the direction the mob will move when spawned.)

The coordinate system works as follows:

  • X - A positive value increases motion to the East. A negative value increases motion to the West.
  • Y - A positive value increases motion upward. A negative value increases motion downward.
  • Z - A positive value increases motion to the South. A negative value increases motion to the North.

yRot: xRot:

Instructions: Enter the y-rotation and x-rotation of the mob after spawning. Rotation is used to summon a mob facing a specific direction as defined by yRot and xRot.

  • yRot - The y-rotation that the mob is facing in degrees. 0=South, 90=West, 180=North, 270=East.
  • xRot - The x-rotation that the mob is facing in degrees. Positive values look downward and negative values look upward. 0=facing forward, 90=facing straight down, -90=facing straight up

Instructions: Add effects (ie: potion effects) to your mob by clicking the appropriate checkboxes. Once you select an effect, you will be able to set the duration and choose whether particles are shown.

  • Duration - The length of time that the status effect will last (in game ticks)
  • Show Particles - Whether particles are shown for the status effect

Note: You can add more than one effect to a mob, but you can not add the same effect more than once. For example if you add the effect called Strength, you can not also add Strength II as a second effect. Both are the Strength effect with different amplifier values.
