Suns guard Devin Booker sold one home, bought another in not so strange twist of events

Suns guard Devin Booker recently closed on his old Paradise Valley home after moving into a new bigger home this year.

Yes yes Phoenix Suns All-Star Devin Booker sold the home he bought in 2017 for $3.45 million this past week. If you recall, he had put it on the market in February, a few months after starting his five-year $158 million extension with the Suns.

Don’t worry. The man is not going anywhere.

He’s not sending any message to the Suns by selling his home and living on the street or in a hotel until they upgrade the team. He’s not moving in with Kendall Jenner. He’s not moving somewhere else either.

He’s simply, like every other person who comes into a great deal more money, spending it on bigger and better. In fact, he’s already been moved into his new, much bigger home in the Valley for months and has not lived in the PV home since listing it.

Anyway, here’s a tweet from a cool kid on twitter who talks a lot to Booker, famously through streaming video games and once did a podcast with Suns guard. He said he’d be happy for me to share his inside knowledge of the situation.

According to Andrew and a couple other people in the know, Booker has been happily moved into a new house for months and was just waiting on the closing his old, empty house.

He originally bought the PV house for $3.25 million in 2017 when he was making $2.3 million per year, signed his extension in 2018 and started earning $27.25 million per year in 2019.

According to the LA Times, Booker’s brother, Davon Wade, held the listing with Kirk Linehan of eXp Realty. Scott Grigg of Realty Executives represented the buyer. The Orlando Sentinel talked to Booker at the All-Star game this year where Booker gave credit to his bro for the inspiration on the deal.

“My brother just got his real estate license, so shout out to him,” Booker said. “The NBA and this game opens up a lot of doors and opportunities to meet a lot of different people, so I just want to take advantage of that.”

He can afford a bigger house. He deserves a bigger house.
