Contralateral SFA disease and therapy
In this video, a patient with previous femoral atherectomy presents with symptomatic and laboratory-confirmed left-sided femoral disease. Diagnostic iliac, femoral, and popliteal angiograms are performed to assess the extent and burden of disease.
Given that the disease is limited to the mid to distal femoral artery, a decision is made to undergo balloon angioplasty and subsequent stent insertion with a Viabond stent graft. The completion angiogram reveals preferential and satisfactory flow through the SFA with no evidence of distal embolization.
