Superspeed is an effect that provides a 100% increase to forward movement speed while in combat. Outside of combat, it provides close to the same 33% increase to movement speed as the boon Swiftness. Like all movement speed boosts, it does not affect backpedaling or strafing movement. Additional applications of superspeed stack in duration for up to 10 seconds. Other effects that provide a bonus to movement speed (e.g. Swiftness, certain traits, and signet skills) do not stack with Superspeed; only the highest increase in speed will be applied.

Superspeed is not a boon, and thus does not benefit neither from attributes Concentration and Boon Duration nor from various skills, traits and upgrade components that affect boons in general. While Superspeed does not ignore movement-impairing conditions Chilled and Crippled, it still provides a substantial movement bonus: 134% and 150% speed increase, respectively, compared to 200% when unrestricted. Uniquely, Superspeed can be granted to many friendly NPCs that are otherwise unaffected by giving them Swiftness, for example, NPCs participating in dynamic events in the PvE game mode or Siege Golems in the WvW mode.

Traits that improve superspeed

• Invigorating Speed (Alchemy) — When you gain swiftness or superspeed, you also gain vigor.
• Rapid Regeneration (Scrapper) — Regenerate health while affected by swiftness or superspeed.
• Object in Motion (Scrapper) — Deal increased strike damage while you have stability, swiftness, or superspeed. This damage increase compounds for each boon you have.
• Bird of Prey (Galeshot) — Strike damage is increased when you have swiftness or superspeed. Swiftness is more effective.
• Swift Revenge (Weaver) — Gain swiftness when using a Dual Attack. Deal increased strike damage to enemies while under the effects of swiftness or superspeed.
• Woven Stride (Weaver) — Gain swiftness when you are inflicted with inhibiting conditions. When gaining either superspeed or swiftness, also gain regeneration and cleanse a condition. Swiftness has increased effectiveness.

• Relic of the Pack — Grant superspeed, might, and fury to nearby allies after using an elite skill.
• Relic of the Unseen Invasion — Grant yourself and nearby allies superspeed when you enter or exit stealth.
• Relic of the Wayfinder — Gain increased movement speed, which is further increased while out of combat. When you enter combat, gain a burst of speed.
