Sydney Brooke Simpson is known as the eldest child of OJ Simpson with Nicole Simpson. Although the daughter of a famous American athlete, she always tried to avoid the media.

There are still some things publically known about Sydney, including her career in real estate, which she tried to establish independently. Here's what we know about her.

SYDNEY BROOKE SIMPSON LIVED A NORMAL LIFE

After her father was acquitted of the murder of his wife, Sydney studied in an exclusive Miami private school. She moved to South Florida with her father and brother, Justin, and attended the exclusive Gulliver Schools that operate four campuses in the area.

In 2017, rumors about Sydney's alleged romance with St. Petersburg council candidate, Robert Blackmon, circulated in the press.

Sydney later received her college education at Boston University, where she graduated with a degree in Sociology in May 2010. Although she tried to stay out of the spotlight, Sydney made headlines in 2005 after being arrested for getting into a fight with friends at her brother's basketball game.

Then 19, Sydney was reportedly rowdy and rudely yelled at the authorities. When one officer tried to arrest her, she allegedly slapped his hand.

Since college, Sydney moved from Atlanta to St. Petersburg, Florida, where she bought a home and has been running a small real estate business, Simpsy LLC, since 2014. From 2015 to 2017, she and her brother scooped up 13 properties, including houses and apartments.

SYDNEY BROOKE SIMPSON WAS PART OF A FIVE-YEAR CUSTODY BATTLE

Following OJ's murder trial, Sydney's grandparents, Lou and Juditha Brown filed an appeal to win guardianship over Nicole's children. They believed that "the grisly circumstances of the murder itself simply could not be ignored."

The appeal became a five-year custody battle that ended with Simpson winning over his children. In reality, Sydney and Justin wanted to be with their father and even wrote to the court judges to be with OJ.

"The children said to their grandmother, 'I want to be with my father,'" Jonathan Burrington, the Browns' spokesman, said.

Juditha allowed her son-in-law to move to Florida with his children. Despite OJ's physical custody, she still has legal guardianship over the kids. Justin and Sydney would visit their grandparents during summertime and holidays.

The footage shocked many who considered the piece OJ's confession of the murders. However, nothing regarding his case has happened since.

DID SYDNEY BROOKE SIMPSON DATE A COUNCIL CANDIDATE?

In 2017, rumors about Sydney's alleged romance with St. Petersburg council candidate, Robert Blackmon, circulated in the press. However, he denied the allegations and claimed that Sydney was a "private person" who had been "selflessly supporting me and not worried about herself."

Other than their close friendship, Blackmon had no other relationship with Sydney. Blackmon was among the eight City Council candidates hoping to be elected by the people.

He said during his campaign that he would wait and see if his friendship with OJ's daughter would affect the council rate.

OJ, born Orenthal James Simpson, was accused of killing his wife and Ron Goldman in 1994. Nicole and Goldman were said to be romantically involved at that time.

For years, many thought that the former football star was behind the killings, but no one knew what really happened that day.

Although the case was eventually settled, a 2006 interview of OJ and author Judith Regan circulated on the internet in 2018. The footage shocked many who considered the piece OJ's confession of the murders. However, nothing regarding his case has happened since.
