Talen Horton-Tucker averaged 9.0 points and 2.8 assists with the Lakers last season.

Los Angeles Lakers forward Talen Horton-Tucker underwent surgery to repair the ulnar collateral ligament on his right thumb, the team announced on Tuesday.

He will be reevaluated in approximately four weeks.

The third-year forward was expected to have increased opportunities this season in Los Angeles, where he joins LeBron James and Anthony Davis as the Lakers’ only returning players this season.

Horton-Tucker averaged 9.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists over 65 games in 2020-21.
