Introduction
Tanner Fox is an American professional scooter rider and YouTube vlogger with an estimated net worth of $6 Million.
Fox has amassed over 7 million followers across all social media platforms, including 4.7 million YouTube subscribers and 2.3 million Instagram followers.
YouTube Income
In an interview on the George Janko podcast, Tanner Fox recounted his early years on YouTube and how much he was earning then. Fox began uploading content to the platform in the early 2010s, but didn’t officially monetize his channel until 2015. Fox mentioned that he was contacted by FailArmy, one of the era’s most viral channels, to sell them scooter clips. In a particular month, Tanner sold 16 clips to FailArmy for $1,100, which became a memorable month of his earlier years on YouTube.
Tanner went on to state that at 15 years old, he earned an $8,000 paycheck from three of his vlog uploads, which he spent immediately on a Ford Focus. The following year, he earned roughly $600,000, and by the year after that, Fox was already earning over $2 million per year from the platform.
YouTube Channel
Growing up, Tanner Fox had always been active, practicing on scooters, skateboards, and even hoverboards when they became popular. Always eager to push himself to the limit, he soon started producing videos that demonstrated his skills to viewers worldwide.
In 2011, he started his own YouTube channel, where he posted his first video, “District V2 Deck Snap!!!,” which now has 405,000 views. In the first few years of his YouTube channel, Tanner Fox featured many videos revolving around scooter tricks filmed around his hometown.
Around 2015, Fox began creating more vlog-style content, including pranks and travel videos, diversifying his channel. The following year, he released the video “Skydiving For 1 MILLION” to celebrate his million-subscriber milestone, and the video currently has over 1.2 million views. Soon after, he teamed up with Roman Atwood in a video in which he drove the prankster’s GT-R, a car he’d admired from an early age. When he was 16, he bought his own GT-R sports Coupe, which he named Kayla.
In 2016, RiceGum targeted Tanner Fox in the diss track “God Church,” which has since earned over 76 million views. While YouTube removed the original video, RiceGum reuploaded it in 2017, and it remains available today.
Fortunately, this did little to slow Fox’s momentum, and his reaction video to the track earned him 8.6 million views on his channel. Following this track, he continued to release trick videos, prank content, and videos featuring his GT-R. The same year, he showcased his GT-R’s latest customization in a video that garnered over 5 million views.
Fidget Spinner Earnings
Remember when fidget spinners took over the world? Tanner Fox was one of the entrepreneurs who wanted in on the action. In 2017, Tanner launched his own collection of fidget spinners and began promoting them in several of his videos, such as “World’s Fastest Fidget Spinner” and “1000mph Fidget Spinner vs iPhone”.
In an interview with Roman Atwood, Fox was asked how much he earned from the product. According to Tanner, he sold 75,000 fidget spinners in just three months at a retail price of $20 each. He claimed they cost him only $2.50 to produce, so let’s do the math. The total gross revenue from selling 75,000 units at $20 each would equate to $1.5 million. His production cost was approximately $187,500. This places his gross profits at roughly $1.31 million before considering additional fees such as shipping, payment processing, etc.
No Focks Given Podcast
In 2021, he launched the podcast No Focks Given with Maverick Leonard on its dedicated channel, which had weekly episodes. This podcast centered on their life experiences and featured notable influencers as guest stars, along with other interesting people the pair had met. While he took a year-long break from creating content, he returned to YouTube in October 2023 to update fans on his life. He recently released a vlog highlighting the Nitrocross racing event at the Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California.
Real Estate
In 2017, Tanner Fox showed off his new mansion in a video that earned him 2.3 million views and kicked off a new era of videos. Like FaZe Banks, Fox shared this mansion with other YouTubers, including MonsterMav and Jordan Beau, as well as a few social media influencers. After moving in, Tanner continued releasing a ton of content, including many videos featuring his then-girlfriend Taylor Alesia.
He went mansion shopping again in 2018, showing off several houses in numerous videos on his channel and asking for input. Soon after, he debuted his new home and increased the content output, releasing more videos than ever before.
