Introduction

Welcome to the PvE Class Guide for Arcane Mage in The Burning Crusade Classic. We'll look at the rotation, best talent build, consumables, and more so that you can DPS at a high level in raids and dungeons.

TBC Classic Arcane Mage Rotation

Single Target

1. Use Mage Armor.
2. Cast Icy Veins, Arcane Power, and any on-use effects.
3. Cast Cold Snap after Icy Veins.
4. Cast Presence of Mind with Arcane Blast right before Arcane Power ends.
5. Cast Arcane Blast.
6. Cast Evocation when you run out of mana.
7. Cast Frostbolt to conserve mana outside cooldown windows.
8. Cast Fire Blast while moving.

TBC Classic Arcane Mage Best Professions

1. Tailoring: Spellfire and Spellstrike gear.
2. Enchanting: Ring - Spellpower.
3. Leatherworking: Drums of Battle.
4. Jewelcrafting: 14 Spell Damage and 12 Spell Crit Gems.

TBC Classic Arcane Mage Aldor or Scryer

We recommend going Scryers as an Arcane Mage in TBC Classic. The Aldor shoulder enchant, Greater Inscription of Discipline, is slightly better than the Scryer Greater Inscription of the Orb. However, Scryer's has the advantage of providing one of the best trinkets in Phase 1, the Scryer's Bloodgem and a powerful ring, the Seer's Signet.
