S04E01 - Title TBA (Notes and Trivia)

In Kansas City, the Main Street location of Gates Bar-B-Q was a key filming location. The restaurant, known for its signature sauce and Kansas City’s famous burnt ends, was highlighted in a promotional photo and video shared by Apple TV+ and Tim Cook on social media. The scene featured Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso), Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton), Juno Temple (Keeley Jones), and Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins) in a corner booth.

Several scenes were filmed at Kansas City's Country Club Plaza, a historic downtown retail area known for its Spanish-inspired architecture and fountains.

The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, located in Kansas City’s historic jazz district, was closed for a day to accommodate filming. The production crew spent an entire day shooting scenes, showcasing the museum’s role in preserving African American baseball history.

CPKC Stadium, the home of the Kansas City Current women’s soccer team, was used for filming. Paparazzi photos showing actors and extras in teal-coloured kits, likely portraying players on the Current. Fans reported extensive shooting in intense heat.

Filming occurred at the grocery store McKeever’s Market & Eatery in the Kansas City suburb of Lee’s Summit, with fans gathering to watch.

A residential area in Blue Springs, a Kansas City suburb, was used for filming. Production teams issued letters to residents about road closures and filming activities, with Jason Sudeikis reportedly interacting with locals after shooting.
