Hall of Fame receiver Terrell Owens is giving Tom Brady a run for his money as the most impressive athlete in their 40s.

Owens on Wednesday showed he's still got it in a race with Fan Controlled Football League receivers James Harden and Andrew Jamiel. The 48-year-old not only blew them out of the water, but also clocked an incredible sub-4.40 time in the 40-yard dash:

Even among world-class athletes, some people are just built different.

To compare, Owens at the 1996 NFL Combine ran a — ahem — less than impressive 4.65 in the 40-yard dash. His time on Wednesday would have beat that year's fastest time of 4.39, set by Texas A&M running back Leeland McElroy.

Owens' time would have been tied for the 12th-fastest at the 2022 NFL Combine. But, again: Terrell Owens is 48 years old and hasn't played in the NFL since the 2010 season. He recently made history as the first player traded in the FCFL, but he certainly lent credence to the notion he could strap on the pads and return to play in the NFL.

Hey, if Brady could do it, then why couldn't Owens?
