Easily View TeslaCam Videos

View mp4 video files from the Tesla cameras saved from Dashcam or Sentry Mode. These files are found in the RecentClips, SavedClips, or SentryClips directories under TeslaCam.

1. Insert the TeslaCam USB drive into your computer and click the "Browse"/"Choose Files" button (depending on your operating system).
2. Select the TeslaCam directory or one of the subdirectories that includes the camera files.
3. The videos automatically play in your browser. (Most systems require Safari or Firefox browsers due to browser support of the video codec)

Videos from all cameras will play next to each other from the local file system for fast and easy viewing. You can also select an incident from the dropdown list to jump directly to it.

Viewable on mobile phones with a browser - no app to install. Adapter cable is needed to connect the USB disk to the phone. Launch this webpage in the phone's browser and select the desired files from the disk. Mobile browsers don't support opening multiple directories. Instead, select all files within a directory.

The files play from on the local drive and are not uploaded. Watch demo video on YouTube. Also works on your phone's browser if the phone has access to the video files.

Click on any camera video to enlarge. Click the enlarged video to return to default side-by-side layout.

Previously Added Features

• Previous and Next buttons - Move between events faster rather than selecting from the list.
• Rear camera playback is available if your car supports it.
• Select the "TeslaCam" or one of the subdirectories (SentryClips, SavedClips, or RecentClips) to load ALL saved events under that directory. Mobile browsers do not support selecting all directories and will see the basic File open dialog where you can select all video files within a directory.
• Improved layout and functionality when playing videos on your mobile phone. You just need an adapter cable to connect the USB drive to your phone.
• Play video at half speed. Also added individual buttons to quickly change speed to desired rate.
• "Jump to Event" button displays if the app thinks the videos came from a Sentry Mode event where 10 minutes of videos were saved. Jumps to about one minute before the end of all videos.
• Slider bar available to quickly move back and forth in a video.
• Enlarge any camera video by clicking on it.Return to side-by-side layout by clicking the enlarged video.
• Go directly to a time by clicking on the timestamp from the list.
• Resize the videos automatically when resizing the browser window.

Troubleshooting Tips

Teslas with HW3 appear to have HEVC H.265 video encoded for dashcam and sentry videos rather than H.264 (which works with most browsers). H.265 video format primarily only works on Firefox and Safari browsers.
