ORIGIN Teyana Taylor is an American singer, dancer, and actress. She’s best known for the 2016 music video “FADE”. Her discography includes VII (2014) and The Cassette Tape 1994 (2015). She co-starred in the comedy film, Madea’s Big Happy Family (2011). Taylor was born on December 10, 1990, in Harlem, New York. Her mother, Nikki, currently serves as her manager. She has three half-siblings, Rich, Tito, and Diamond.

CAREER Taylor began her music career at a very young age. She performed locally and competed in talent competitions like the Apollo Theater talent search. She was a choreographer on Beyonce‘s 2006 hit music video “Ring the Alarm”. Taylor was signed to Pharrell Williams’ Star Trak Entertainment in January 2007.
