TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Organizers of the 2021 Tulsa State Fair have released an attendance summary, showing more than one million people visited the event.

The 11 Days of Awesome began Sept. 30 and ended, a little earlier than expected due to severe weather, on Oct. 10.

This year's numbers show an estimated attendance of 1,182,000 fairgoers, of which 22,758 purchased the Mega Ride Pass wristbands.

"The Tulsa State Fair is committed to producing the highest quality event possible," said Amanda Blair, COO of Expo Square and Tulsa State Fair. "We strive to construct an all-encompassing 11 Days of Awesome, through exciting rides, rocking entertainment, competitive livestock shows, and of course fair food favorites. We want to thank each and every person who is part of our team; our committed partners, vendors, concessionaires, and the hardworking staff that work year-round to produce your event, our event, the Tulsa State Fair. Collectively we were stronger together, and look forward to building on this year. Thank you Tulsa, we are excited to see you next year as we plan the 2022, 11 Days of Awesome."

The top three thrilling rides were the Giant Wheel, Polar Express, and Euro Slide.

Out of 10 "Disney on Ice" performances, 19,642 tickets were sold.

More than 1,000 employees worked a total of 23,016 hours to make the event possible.

"This year our focus was to provide a safe, clean and fun environment for families to make memories," said Mark Andrus, president and CEO of Expo Square and Tulsa State Fair. "Our team delivered, creating an overall positive impact to Tulsa County. The Tulsa State Fair is more than just an event, it is the livelihood for so many, creating jobs and contributing to the quality of life in our community. There is an enormous amount of tradition illustrated during the Tulsa State Fair, creating a guest experience like no other. We are proud to be back, and I am confident 2022 will be even better as we continue to elevate our product."

There were 16,363 livestock show entries, with $450,000 in scholarships awarded and 88 animals born at the fair.

The Tulsa State Fair will return Sept. 29, 2022, to Oct. 9, 2022.
