The PS4 and PS5 versions will be released on March 24. The Ascent173:13Aug 12, 2021The Ascent's Cyberpunk-Type World Looks Incredible in First PersonAug 12, 2021 - When you play The Ascent, you're basically always seeing the game from a birds-eye view. But using a nifty tool called Universal Unreal Engine 4 Unlocker, you can switch to a first person free camera and fly around the game to your heart's content. The game was already gorgeous, but being able to see some of these details up close is pretty staggering since a lot of the tiny fine touches possibly wouldn't be seen otherwise. Enjoy this montage of scenes we put together and let's all cross our fingers that the game one day gets a first person mode! The AscentMark Medina818:51Jul 29, 2021The First 18 Minutes of The Ascent (4K 60fps)Jul 29, 2021 - Check out the first minutes of The Ascent, the scifi twin-stick shooter now on Game Pass in 4k 60 fps. The first game from developer Neon Giant games, The Ascent is a combo of isometric RPGs like Wasteland or Pillars of Eternity and twin-stick shooters like Dead Nation or Enter the Gungeon. Some folks have referred to it as "Cyberpunk Diablo," but it's less about a continuous loot grind than that might imply. Our previewer called it more like "cyberpunk Hunter the Reckoning," which - if you can remember back that far - sounds pretty rad. There is loot to be found, of course, but you're not just chasing the next weapon upgrade or armor set like in Diablo. The Ascent focuses much more on action than loot, with how you spec out your character being far more important than the loot itself.
