The Plot

Delilah, as a teenager, often blames her mother for being mediocre and dismissive of her. Sometimes she even tells her about unfair decisions. This sounds very ironic because her mother is the Equalizer. She always tries to achieve harmony and does not put the subjective above the truth. Acquaintances most often see in her only a divorced woman with a daughter. They do not know how zealous she is to fight for justice. At first, Marcus did not like Delilah's mother either. It irritated him that some stranger without documents and orders was trying to put things in order where he worked. This cast doubt on his detective skills. However, after meeting with her in person, he realized that such intelligent women should be kept to themselves. After all, she is not fighting for praise or privileges for herself but for the common good.
