The FDA & Retail giant Amazon work together to remove Covid battling supplement N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC)
N-acetylcysteine (NAC) has always been a popular supplement and when the Covid plandemic started in 2020 it flew to the top of the supplement sales charts. It did so because a clinical trial titled 'Attenuation of influenza-like symptomatology and improvement of cell-mediated immunity with long-term N-acetylcysteine treatment' showed that subjects who received 600mg twice daily had significantly milder influenza episodes. "Administration of N-acetylcysteine during the winter, thus, appears to provide a significant attenuation of influenza and influenza-like episodes, especially in elderly high-risk individuals. N-acetylcysteine did not prevent A/H1N1 virus influenza infection but significantly reduced the incidence of clinically apparent disease."Other studies showed NAC increased natural killer cell activity, decreased the frequency of flare ups of chronic bronchitis and COPD, and reduced symptoms of chronic bronchitis. Coronavirus arrives and NAC becomes a natural weapon of choice against it. More studies followed. Scientific evidence mounted in favor of the use of NAC in prevention against SARS-CoV2. So what did the FDA do? Natural Product Insider reports:
FDA last year asserted in warning letters that NAC couldn’t be lawfully marketed in dietary supplements because it was first studied as a drug in 1963. The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) made legal arguments challenging the agency’s position in a 2020 letter to FDA.
The controversy puts an online retail giant like Amazon in a pickle: It must essentially pick a side in the fight between FDA and industry—Either continue to sell NAC-containing supplements and risk FDA enforcement action, or remove the products from its website. “Third-party sellers are independent businesses and are required to follow all applicable laws, regulations and Amazon policies when listings items for sale in our store,” an Amazon spokesperson said late Wednesday in an emailed statement.
“We have proactive measures in place to prevent prohibited products from being listed and we continuously monitor our store. Those who violate our policies are subject to action, including potential removal of their account.” The spokesperson added, “We are in the process of removing the [NAC-containing dietary supplement] products in question from our store.”
That's right. Amazon removed a proven safe and effective (and inexpensive) weapon against Covid to, again, support the plandemic. (Really makes one wonder about Joe Rogan's ivermectin Covid video.)
Right now support organizations like the Life Extension Foundation who are continuing to battle the FDA's bullshit by getting your NAC from them.
Update: NEW studies show NAC may help in Covid fight against the dreaded cytokine storm.
