The language referenced includes uses of 'jeez' and 'heck'.
One of the taglines reads: "Resting Grinch Face" alluding to the pop-culture term 'resting bitch face', a piece of humour likely to go over children's heads but land well with adults.
Additionally, the BBFC makes mention of a brief allusion to drug use.
"There is an implied drug reference when a man says, 'I don't know what's in this cake, but I think I just saw Santa Claus!'" the BBFC adds.
There is no warning for photosensitivity and epilepsy.

The plot of The Grinch is described by Universal PIctures as: "The Grinch and his loyal dog, Max, live a solitary existence inside a cave on Mount Crumpet.
"His main source of aggravation comes during Christmastime when his neighbours in Whoville celebrate the holidays with a bang.
