Where Did They Film the King’s Landing Harbor Scene?

The real King’s Landing harbor from Game of Thrones is situated in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The harbor lies within Kolorina Bay, nestled between two of Dubrovnik’s major fortresses: Bokar and Lovrijenac.

This region, along with the two fortresses, played a crucial role in the filming of various scenes in Game of Thrones. For instance, the Kolorina beach to the north of the bay was the backdrop for the scene where Myrcella leaves King’s Landing for Dorn. Fort Lovrijenac was used in several scenes at the Red Keep, while Fort Bokar served as the setting for scenes on the City Walls.
