Controls (On Walker Gear)

The Walker Gear is a man-sized bipedal weapons platform. Approach a Walker Gear and the "pilot Walker Gear" action icon will appear. To pilot the Walker Gear, press the Action button while the icon is displayed. The controls are as follows.

Action Type

1. 1: Ready weapon

   Hold the button to aim your weapon.

2. 2: Call

   Hold to open the Call Menu, or tap to make a quick radio call.

3. 3Directional buttons
   • : Switch to primary weapon
   • : Switch to/select secondary weapon
   • : Turn headlights on/off
   • : Turn NVGs on/off
4. 4Left stick: Move
5. 5Touch pad button (left): Pause

   Open the Pause Menu/show tips/iDroid help.

6. 6Touch pad button (right): iDroid

   Use the iDroid data device* Can also be used by pressing the OPTIONS button.* The game does not pause while you use the iDroid.

7. 7: Attack/CQC

   Use the weapon you are aiming. If you are not aiming a weapon, performs CQC if the appropriate armament is equipped.

8. 8: Use binoculars/change view

   Hold down to use binoculars. Tap to reset camera perspective.

9. 9 / / / buttons button: Change stance/(While sprinting) Brake Switch between standing and crouching. Applies the brake while sprinting. button: Reload/(Hold) Carry Load your weapon with a full magazine. If Walker Gear is equipped with an arm and you are near someone lying down, hold the button down to pick up and carry them. button: Accelerate Use the wheels to move at high speed (dash). button: Mount/Dismount Get on/off the Walker Gear.
