In 1997 the BBC introduced parents and children alike to four colourful, toddler-esque, mythical creatures called Teletubbies. For five seasons the world smiled as the 'Tubbies said "good morning" and "goodnight" to the sun baby in the sky – laughing along as videos of children played in their stomachs.

Dipsy

Shortly after the show's end in 2001, Dipsy began a downward spiral into candyism. After his family staged several interventions for the alien, he finally went to rehab in 2006 and again in 2009 after a brief relapse. Dipsy now lives in Tucson with his wife Pipsy and kids, Edward and Blake.

Tinky Winky

After avoiding questions about the actor's sexuality for years, Tinky Winky finally came out publicly in 2005. "I guess I didn't want people to think that… just because I had the word 'Winky' in my name, it meant I was gay. Well, turns out they were right!" he laughed, as he held partner David's hand at a press conference. The pair have since traveled around the world and can often be seen at their close friend Ian McKellan's house.

Laa-Laa

Of the four Teletubbies, Laa-Laa has absolutely had the most success. The show ending led her to Broadway starring roles in productions such as Les Misérables, Mamma Mia! and her one-alien-woman show, I Don't Need a Tubby To Have a Good Time.

Po immediately went to jail for being weird. He won't be getting out anytime soon.
