There are multiple meanings of the word power; power can mean “the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the course of events” or in other listed definitions it is a force or strength exerted. Strength in its own entity is a powerful thing. However, power in general, can take over a single person 's mind. Power has the ability to brainwash the mind and control whoever and whatever. Dracula, the main character and Van Hesling are two power hungry characters in the novel that use their strength of power and thirst for control to use people and take advantage of their vulnerability. The vampire powers that Dracula invokes does have that characteristic of strength. His vampire powers as they are called are different from a human’s ordinary power or strength in other words. A human has particularly physical strength and emotional and/or mental compared to that of the so called vampire. Dracula is that so-called vampire; he invokes those strengths of the average human, but is escalated to a certain degree. His physical capability is more than the human. His mental strength is much greater than the human, using his ability of mind control and brainwashing to take over the minds women. He uses his greater mental capacity to brainwash young and vulnerable women. Dracula, the superior vampire and head of the vampire clan takes advantage of young women. He preys on the female humans that are weak and vulnerable and also, who are easy to brainwash into
